While cruising the net today, I came across an interesting article on Joysitq.   The article pertains to RE5, and this woman is a black activist posted this article http://www.blacklooks.org/2007/07/resident_evil_5.html/trackback .

In this article she accuses Capcom of being rascist because the zombies/infected in the RE5 trailer are black and it seems to be in Africa.  I'm not going to dignify her comments, if you want to know verbatim what she said click on the link.

Being black myself i'm sick of all the race baiting going on today.  If it's not Jesse Jackson, it's Al Sharpton and I guess now another so called "activist" has joined the fray.  I'm afraid that what will end up happening is that Capcom will be pressured into changing the game and yet another videogame lawsuit will start up rolling more cash into Jack Thompsons and his ilks pockets.

First and formeost we need to stop all this nonsense about i'm this type of American and that type of American.  Your ethnicity and nationality are two seperate things, were all Americans and in order to come together we need to stop seperating ourselves.

Secondly as a gamer, i'm SICK and TIRED of people who don't play games, never have never will, telling me, a person who's been an avid gamer for over 20 years, what my hobbie incorporates.  Leave us alone.  As gamers, we all want the same things, to have fun with great games.  Period.  Enough with trying to find hidden things to file lawsuits on.

I have a suggestion for the Kym Platts and Jack Thompsons and i'm sure O'l Sharpy Sharp and Jesse "Hi-jackson" who will be all over this soon, get over it.

RE5 isn't a "rascist" game, and frankly the things you said in your article make you look like an idiot.  So in other words it's okay in a game like, Crackdown were the character is black to kill white people, or better yet using the same game series, in previous RE games they've almost excusively been white, how is that not rascist as well?

The answer is it isn't and your just trying to get people riled up and trying to cash in.

If you care so much about our people Ms.Platt, I suggest you hold a conference to confront the REAL issues in the black community.  Instead of hand outs and playing the race card, confront the drug dealers in the "hood" that helped to kill my father, slowly but surely.

How about the rappers and bling and all that nonsense, hip-hop was never meant to be what it is today and it's a shame to see young black children in school who can barely read or write or speak english correctly but can recite 50 cents forward and backwards.

Talk about the slaughter in Africa for the last 4 years between tribes that just now the U.N. (useless nations) has FINALLY agreed to get "involved" to stop it.

Yeah there are alot of problems in the black global community, I can go on and on.  However, it does no good to jump on Capcom merely because you don't have the intestinal fortitude to address the real issues at hand.

Leave games to the gamers, and to Capcom, stay strong, don't give in to these clowns.  In this black mans opinion people like this ARE the problem, I will only serve to help corrode our society even further.
